Research Specialist, Center for Healthy Minds

Alicia is a Research Specialist and Wellness Practitioner working at the intersections of wellness, education, and social justice. At the Center for Healthy Minds, they are growing under supervision of Jane Sachs. Their previous work includes research and consulting in the areas of racial and gender diversity, sexuality education, movement building, integrated wellness, spiritual entrepreneurship, and care and collective-based practices. Alicia's research interests include the effects of mindfulness practices, gender and sexuality, multicultural and language education, racial inequality, and learning design. In their spare time, you may find Alicia cooking up delicious vegan Mexican dishes, instructing restorative yoga classes, or hiking through Kentucky trails with their companion dog Sage.
